Marina Malvada

Marina Malvada was born in Scarborough, Ontario and began drawing and painting at a young age. She completed her BFA at OCADU, and continues to develop her unique style, incorporating raw minerals from the Canadian Shield and the Labrador Trough, such as mica flakes, hematite and titanium particles. Marina's interest in the natural sciences, particularly astronomy and geology find expression in her abstract work and fascinating 'Space Scapes'. Ms. Malvada exhibits in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto and enjoys travelling throughout Canada, gaining inspiration from her view of our beautiful country. Notable collectors of her work include Chris Hadfield, Damien Hirst, and Bridget Fonda.
