Kaitlin works in acrylics on canvas, creating dramatic abstract paintings inspired by nature.
After completing her B.A. in Visual Arts from The University of Western Ontario, Kaitlin obtained her art teaching degree from the University of Wollongong in NSW, Australia. Kaitlin’s artistic practice focuses on teasing out the beauty and raw emotion of each inspiration, drawing on rhythms and unique combinations of colour gathered through travel in Africa, India, Australia and Indonesia.

Mommy to two young children. You can also find me riding my bike, walking in nature and practicing yoga
I have a hard time watching movies more than once but there are a few I can watch every year: Groundhog Day, Christmas Vacation, and The Holiday.

How long have you been creating art?
I've been painting since I was young and went to school for art, but it wasn't until the spring of 2016 that I really starting making art more professionally.
When I was younger it was Power of One by Bryce Courtenay, more recently it is Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts

Why is it important for people to have art in their home or life?
Art adds so much richness to a space. It's uplifting, interesting, and adds warmth, vibrancy and life to a space.
