Djuna Day is a Toronto based artist working in wood assemblage. Using found and created blocks and tiles she creates landscapes that are simultaneously familiar and foreign. Her pieces stand as metaphors for the discord between the world we live in and our own internal lives. She works primarily from Canadian douglas fir and synthetic dyes.
