Breathing new life into unused/unwanted/discarded stuff is my passion. Making art began in my 20's with fabric wall quilts. In 2000 an OCAD textile course opened my eyes to using fabric in new ways, and using old fabric/clothes/jewelry/electronics/etc. Currently I mostly use computer cable wires and other electronic junk. Appalled by the over-consumption, planned obsolescence that produces this junk, I am excited, gratified and renewed by using it to express my ideas, concerns, emotions.
